With over 35 years of a distinguished career and 2,500+ live performances across India and abroad, Maaruti Mohataa is a leading Bhajan Singer in Kolkata and a celebrated vocalist of Hindustani classical music, bhajans, Rajasthani folk music, and sacred wedding ceremonies. She performs for weddings, Vedic Phera ceremonies, ladies sangeet and prayer meets across Kolkata and India. A proud cultural ambassador, she weaves Sanskrit literature, the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Harigeeta, and traditional wedding rituals into her music — inspiring audiences worldwide. She has been recognised on national platforms including Zee TVS Sa Re Ga Ma and Meri Awaaz Suno.

A devoted disciple of Late Pandit Mohan Lal Ji Mishra of the illustrious Benaras Gharana, she underwent over 20 years of rigorous training under his sacred guidance through the guru-shishya parampara. She holds an M.A. in Music from Rabindra Bharati University (University Topper, 1996) and Sangeet Praveen from Allahabad (1992). An All India Radio B-High Grade artist for over 30 years, she is also a respected judge at classical music competitions across India. Based in Kolkata, she continues to perform as a leading Bhajan Singer and classical vocalist for weddings, Vedic Phera ceremonies, ladies sangeet and prayer meets across Kolkata, Salt Lake, New Town, Howrah and across West Bengal.
